Academy Classes

In each of the subjects listed below, we offer weekly classes that are split into appropriate groups. Your child will learn the art of each genre step by step and will have the opportunity to earn awards and certifications. When you join these classes you will be required to take a minimum of 2, one being flexibility. This is compulsory as it is a crucial part of every subject and without flexiblity it is extremely hard to progress. We believe expecting this of every student gives them all a fair chance of going far in any subject.

If your child is under 7 years old they will be in the Junior Academy class.

Junior Academy

This is our weekly class for 3-7 year old's. In this class we cover the three foundation subjects of Ballet, Modern and Tap, this is an hour long class and therefore entails about 20 minutes of each subject. In this class we teach the basic techniques needed to help with your Childs development and create a ground basis for them to then move up into our older Academy classes. We love teaching this age as it is lovely to see each individuals love for dance blossom as well as their confidence.

CLASSICAL BALLET

A percussive subject where each student learns to make rhythms using their feet.

Ballet is the foundation of all dance. With us you will learn strong ballet technique that promotes strength, suppleness, coordination and poise.

This subject uses elevation, flexibility, energy and balance to create fun and uplifting dances used most in stage performances.

With us students learn how to stretch and take care of their muscles properly without strain, along with balance, agility and motor coordination that boosts skills in all other subjects, helps them to progress far in modern, lyrical and ballet and enables them to learn tricks. They can then take these skills and take Acrobatic exams with us.

LYRICAL

PERFORMANCE SKILLS

Lyrical is a fusion of ballet and modern where students have the chance to express their emotions and feelings towards the music through the use of movements and skirts.

PERFORMANCE SKILLS

Combining singing, dancing and acting, with confidence, stage presence and clarity. Students learn how to perform proudly with the facial expressions and feelings needed to tell a story and the professionalism to present themselves well.
